Crochet Yourself a Ring

Want a quick little project that's super easy and whips up in a flash?  Check out this crocheted ring I made recently in under 30 minutes!  I haven't ever really been one for crocheted jewelry, although I do think that some of it is lovely and unique, but when I ran across this pattern link I was intrigued and decided to give it a try.

 
 There are three different ring patterns included in the PDF, however I only tried one because the other two were too large for my liking.  So here is my version of the ring in two different colors:

Amigurumi Love Birds for Valentine's Day

Hello everyone! I have been in a bit of a crochet 'slump' lately. Or I guess I should say things kept getting in the way of my crochet, which is what put me in the slump. I just couldn't seem to get any of my crochet projects finished! Things that should have taken me a day, were taking me a week due to distractions, interruptions and just 'life' in general. Thankfully things seem to be looking up in that area lately, and I finished my little amigurumi 'Love Birds" in time for Valentine's day.

These little birds were so easy to make and worked up quickly as well. Perfect for a last minute Valentine's Day gift!

MORE FREE AMIGURUMI PATTERNS TO LOVE!

It seems I am as addicted to reading all about amigurumi and searching for free patterns as I am to actually crocheting the delightful little critters! In my quest to find the absolute cutest free patterns, you know...the ones that make you say "omg, I have to make that!!" I spend hours upon hours combing websites and blogs looking for them. I ran across a few adorable ones that I have put on my "Amigurumi to Crochet" list which will take me until I'm at least 80 years old to finish. Something about those little eyes! I was able to find some of these glass eyes at my local Hobby Lobby. I think they are beautiful and I can't wait to use them in a project.

Amigurumi Koala!

I've finished another amigurumi project and I couldn't be happier with the results. This little koala (I named him "Kikoo") was super fast, easy & fun! He turned out even cuter than I thought he would! In case you'd like to make one yourself, you can find the pattern here:

I used a plastic safety doll nose rather than embroidering the nose on, i thought it gave it a much neater look.
One word of warning about the safety eyes and noses....once they're on THEY'RE ON! So make sure you get them in the right place to begin with because that's where they are going to stay! Which is exactly what they are suppose to do to prevent being a choking hazard to small children.

CROCHET CUTIES!!

My amigurumi crocheted critters collection is growing by the day! Take a look at these little ones I was able to whip up over the weekend!

I'm including the free patterns because I know many of you will fall in love with these little cuties like I did!!
My bunny is finally finished (she was my 2nd project) and I think she is very sweet! I got the pattern for her here: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/60480A.html

My safety lock eyes had not arrived in the mail yet, so I crocheted her eyes on, as well as giving her an embroidered mouth.

I've found that each project seems to get a little easier. The hardest part of amigurumi crochet in my opinion, is trying to figure out what to crochet next! They are all just so adorable. Not to mention quick and easy to complete!

I started on my little turtle,
"Sheldon" as I call him.

There aren't any assembly instructions on the pattern site, however I was able to assemble him without too much trouble by looking at the photo on the pattern.
