I've been working on my latest crochet doll for what seems like months and finally she is completed. This "Favrielle" doll is from the Gourmet Crochet pattern collection. She is 22" tall, and such a cutie!
She took quite a bit longer than I originally thought she would because the pattern was very detailed. There were so many pieces to be sewn together!
I really like the way she turned out, and I'm sure I will eventually crochet more of these dolls in varying colors. But, with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas quickly approaching, I have way too many projects on my "to-do" list to start such a detailed project right now.
I love how "busy" she is, with all the colors and pieces of her outfit. The stripes on her legs were a bit of a challenge, with so many color changes, but I managed to work my way thru it. Her shoes have cardboard cutouts inserted, and with her legs being stuffed so tightly, she can actually stand up with very minimal support.
I used black "fun fur" yarn for the brim of her hat, and also for her neck ruffle.
I think she would be the perfect gift for a little girl....or an older girl for that matter!
Thanks for stopping by and meeting "Favrielle"!
I've got a few ideas rolling around in my head for the original doll I started while I was at the beach.
I'm thinking of giving her curly Q hair, which will be another crochet "first" for me, so any tips would be greatly appreciated! I also have a few ideas for her outfit, so stay tuned for the finished project.
Thanks for visiting, as always!
