Free Crochet Patterns and a Giveaway Extravaganza

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a nice and relaxing Memorial Day holiday.  I have settled back to visit some of my favorite blogs, one of my very favorite pastimes!  My friends never disappoint when I'm needing inspiration, instruction, entertainment, or just a good laugh. Here's what I found around the web today!

First off,  my friend Pammy Sue over at Scotty's Place is hosting a fantastic giveaway celebrating the 4 year anniversary of her awesome blog!  She's giving away 5 different packages, each containing some beautiful crochet pattern books/pamphlets.  (One of the prize packages has 8 pattern pamphlets!!) Hop on over and enter to win! While you're there, be sure to check out Pammy Sue's blog.  It's entertaining, hilarious and just full of all kinds of crochet goodness! Good luck to all!

I'm constantly on the lookout for crochet patterns, especially the free ones!  Look at these adorable patterns I found today:

I fell in love with this sweet little Magdalena doll from Mia over at Owlishly. I'm a big fan of Mia's designs and I visit both her blog and her Etsy shop regularly.

Another super talented designer is Thread Bear Artist Cindy Sickler at Demonstrative Bears. How cute is this  long-legged little bear?  The free pattern is available here.

Another one of my very favorite places to visit is Attic 24. Lucy's crochet designs are colorful and modern and I always find something to love on her blog! The free pattern for Lucy's birdie decoration is here.

While you're there, grab the free pattern for this beautiful crochet bag.

What a neat idea for your blooming little artist's art supplies.
Quick and Free registration is required on www.freepatterns.com to download the PDF.

.

And last, but certainly not least, is Funmigurumi Poochie dog #3 "Missy".
She has a whole collection of these Funmigurumi Poochie dogs and they are c-u-t-e! Even better, all of the Funmigurumi Poochie dog patterns are free!

Well, that's all for now.  I hope that with the help of these awesome crochet designers, I've managed to provide some inspiration for all of my crochet friends. I know these inspired me!   If any of you know of a blog that's loaded with crochet inspiration feel free to post the link below so we can all check it out.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!  Thanks for visiting as always!

Hooked on Amigurumi Dolls

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have been going through a very difficult time lately.  My husband of 27 years passed away unexpectedly on April 16th and it has completely turned my life upside down.  I think the healthiest thing for me now is to try to regain some sense of normalcy in my life.  Crocheting and blogging provide a much needed distraction when I find myself "thinking" too much.

I finally have a completed project to share with you and I hope that you'll like it as much as I do!
For quite some time I have been admiring the work of the amazingly talented Beth at By Hook, By Hand. Beth is talented beyond words, and if you haven't visited her blog before you are in for quite a treat!!  So here is my version of Beth's "mini free spirit" doll.  Her name is Katrina.

This doll is made from Beth's Mini Free Spirit doll pattern which is available on her blog here.  The thread bear she's holding is one I made a while back and posted here.

She's so tiny and petite and only 6 inches tall.  I absolutely love her!
The dress is also from one of Beth's patterns and I think it makes her look so girlie and sweet.I will be making more of these dolls in the future.  You might say "I'm hooked".

Now on to other business!  The winner of the Yoplait Yogurt Spa Set giveaway is Lynn!  Congratulations Lynn! I will be contacting you via e-mail to get your information for the delivery of your gift.  I hope that you will enjoy your gift set and free yogurt coupons, and use them to Nurture and Nourish yourself.

Next on my to do list is to get back to writing my original design doll patterns, which are coming along nicely, just very S-L-O-W.

Thanks for visiting, as always.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and remember to take time in your busy schedules to take care of YOU.

Yoplait Yogurt Greek Yogurt Giveaway

Hello everyone. It's been almost a month since my last blog post as I have had some very difficult life events lately. I took some time off from both crocheting and blogging to take care of myself and I'm doing better now. I've decided it's time for me to get back in the swing of things and I'll have a new project to post soon, but in the meantime let's do something FUN!

In appreciation of all my awesome readers, I thought it would be a fun change of pace to do something a little different in the form of a giveaway! So... let's all take some time out to nurture AND nourish our inner Goddess with this offer from Yoplait.

With 12 grams of protein -- twice that found in leading yogurts-- new Yoplait Greek nourishes from the inside out. Available in four delicious flavors, Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla and Plain, the brand´s newest offering has a unique thick and creamy texture with the unmatched taste expected of Yoplait.

I recently tried this yogurt and found it to be everything I would expect from Yoplait. It was thick, creamy, rich and made for a yummy and healthy afternoon snack. I also had it for breakfast one morning and stirred in some granola which was both delicious and filling!

Even more exciting is that Yoplait has offered one of my lucky reader's a “Nourish Your Inner Goddess” Gift pack which includes a luxurious spa gift set plus two VIP* coupons for Free Yoplait Greek Yogurt Cups.

*This coupon offer for a free cup of Yoplait Greek yogurt is not valid in some states, including California, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, and Tennessee.

(The bath wrap is so soft and absorbent I feel like I'm really at a spa!)

To celebrate its new Greek yogurt and to encourage women to nourish their inner goddess, Yoplait has teamed up with actress Izabella Miko, who plays Greek Goddess Athena in the epic adventure new Warner Bros. Pictures´ and Legendary Pictures´ film “Clash of the Titans,” which hit theatres April 2 in 3D. Be sure to check out the this exclusive behind the scenes footage from Izabella Miko´s Yoplait Greek photo shoot in Malibu.
